POSITIONSUMMARY:

TheGrowth & Outreach Liaison, reporting to the Hospital CEO with a strongdotted line reporting relationship to the HSC Vice President Growth &Outreach, is responsible forstrategically planning and implementing outreach efforts specifically withphysicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, other area hospitals, EMSand other potential referral sources within the hospital’s primary, secondaryand tertiary service areas and maximizing referral and redirectionopportunities for both inpatient and outpatient services. This position is focused on continuous improvementsthat result in improved experiences for both patients and providers within ourfacility.

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience:Minimum of 3 years’ related experience. Medical and/or PharmaceuticalSales experience preferred.

Skillsand Abilities:

BusinessMathematical Skills — Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in allunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Abilityto compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.

ModerateComputer Skills – Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry,spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simplefunctions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to supportbusiness objectives.

ModerateCommunication — Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. Maytrain others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentationsto department or middle management.

Project Planning/Organization –Handle multiple projects simultaneously including task delegation, projectover-sight, and resource allocation.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

Createand maintain a target list of referral sources, develop and implement an annualgrowth and outreach business plan and provide input in the development andimplementation of marketing plans for all service lines. Utilizes CRM todocument and optimize outreach to referral sources.

Organize and conduct meetings withkey providers and practice staff (nurses, referral coordinators, practicemanagers) to discover their needs to support patient care and to developrapport. Majority of time should be spent on physically visiting andinteracting with providers, provider office staff and facilities in thespecific area of responsibility

Provide regular communication andupdates to HSC VP and/or Sr Director Growth and Outreach. Attend weekly conference calls and otheronsite meetings as determined by VP Growth and Outreach

Communicate activity level and identifiesall issue resolution opportunities with hospital leaders along with timelyfollow up with referral sources to remove barriers to growth.

Develop customized engagementstrategies, approach and tactics for each provider and/industry to drive growthand additional business opportunities.

Arrange and facilitate introductionsof new and employed providers/specialists to targeted referral prospects toreinforce clinical engagement and referral process.

Arrange introductions and regularengagement of facility’s clinical services, access points and specialists tonew and all providers.

Facilitate attendance at educationalprograms and other opportunities/events to connect specialists with targetedproviders.

Document each provider encounterincluding any open requests/issues and follow up plan in CRM, which tracksactivities, progress and outcomes.

Collaborate with Marketing to developspecific plans in support of employed physician practices and hospital servicelines.

Gather and maintain complete,accurate knowledge of clinical services in order to fully support compellingdialogue with referral sources.

Serve as a resource to organizationalleaders for market and competitive intelligence.

Regularand reliable attendance.

Performother duties as assigned.

Exhibitan understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies andprocedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
