Description
Director of Engagement, Advancement & Alumni Relations
- Join a Faith-based non-profit focused on keeping families together by giving couples the tools and resources to work through their marriage challenges
- Build a network of donors and volunteers from local churches, alumni, and the community who will support the mission and vision of The Marriage Hub.
- Make multiple contacts each week with churches, businesses, and donors
- Cultivate monthly donors to the ministry
- Manage a portfolio of donors and prospective donors
- Document activity and connections to track progress and results
- Develop and oversee implementation of Development Plan in consultation with Executive Director
- Create and direct the creation of donor-related materials, including print and electronic appeals, stewardship communication, and meeting packets in conjunction with the Executive Director.
- Enjoy a flexible schedule with a mix of onsite and remote work
The Marriage Hub ministry is looking for a Director of Engagement, Advancement & Alumni Relations to provide education about our services and increase donations & volunteer involvement to ensure that we can grow in our capacity to serve couples in crisis.
Our Ideal Director of Engagement, Advancement & Alumni Relations:
- Excellent Communicator: Able to tell the story of The Marriage Hub and the couples we serve via marketing materials, personal conversations, and group presentations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills by phone, email, Zoom meeting, etc.
Ability to present to groups, such as churches and business organizations.
- Experienced: Experience in sales, marketing, business development, fundraising, etc., is preferred.
Strong computer skills are a must.
- Flexible: Some communication with potential donors may need to happen in the evening or weekend.
- Goal-Driven: Willing to set and work hard to achieve fundraising goals.
- Organized: You will be responsible for developing contacts, taking accurate notes, following up with potential donors, scheduling presentations, collecting payments, etc.
- Passionate: Must be passionate about preserving marriages and working for a Christian non-profit organization.
- Flexible: This position offers a flexible schedule.
We do expect one partial day per week in the office for our staff meeting, but we offer remote work and the ability to set your own start/end time.
Because of working with donors, you may need to schedule calls or attend meetings in the evening or over the weekend to accommodate their schedules.
What we offer our Director of Engagement, Advancement & Alumni Relations:
- $24-$29 p/h
- Flexible Schedule
– willing to consider candidates interested in PT or FT hours
- Remote Work option after the training period (Must come to office 1-day per week for staff meeting)
