Director Of Development

Krispy Kreme

This is a Full-time position in Charlotte, NC posted December 20, 2021.

The Director of Development is responsible for continuing to build the Krispy Kreme brand globally.

This position will evaluate potential new markets and lead efforts to grow our global footprint.

Scope of Role

– Responsible for identifying and developing new markets for Krispy Kreme, with a focus in Western Europe, Brazil and China

– Conduct industry and market research to evaluate potential of key markets globally, make data driven recommendations to leadership

– Generate new business leads in a prospective country or region

– Assist in defining and executing the ownership strategy in existing and new markets

– Develop country/region specific operating models and business plans

– Analyse potential investment opportunities

– Create concrete business proposals and present to leadership in order to gain buy in and approval

– Assist in the negotiates, business structure and all other actions needed to bring on new business or partnerships globally

– Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure new region or country launches are successful

Skill Set and Experience

– Experience of working in a Strategy/M&A/Business Development role

– highly analytical, results driven and ability to learn quickly

– Experience in consulting, private equity or investment banking preferred

– Ideally has experience with food retail, QSR, hospitality or food service and knowledge of multi-site operations.

– Deep understanding of cross-functional work withing finance, strategy, supply chain and development.

– Prefer previous experience working in multiple countries.

– Able to demonstrate strong business acumen.

– Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline, plus a Masters or MBA preferred

– Minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant industry preferred
