SUMMARY
Under general direction of the President of CP Marine, the Director of Business Development, will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive internal and external marketing plan to increase revenues and profits.
The Director of Business Development will uphold the mission and values established by Goldbelt, Inc.
and have routine contact with vendors and external customers.
The Director of Business Development is responsible for building a pipeline and closing deals to grow company business.
He/she will engage with senior level customers across Federal civilian and defense contracting sectors, and with other Federal contractors.
Performance will be evaluated on rapid build out of high pWIN pipeline and closing deals.
Need someone with an entrepreneurial spirit to build and win new business.
Business focus is on cyber security compliance for Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems (e.g.
Industrial Control Systems, SCADA, PLCs, FRCS), and IT support services.
Experience with Alaska Native Corporations a plus.
Must be a creative deal-closer with solution based selling background and track record of closing multiple $20-30 million single award deals for new business.
JOB DUTIES
Key activities performed include (but not limited to):
These activities include primary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, customer needs assessment.
Define the product roadmap in the long, mid and short term.
Initiate and complete proposals, presentations, terms and conditions, negotiations and execution strategic for alliances and Joint Ventures.
These activities include opportunity assessment, market evaluation, market research, financial evaluation, and other marketing needs required throughout the business development process.
Define the business development roadmap in the long, mid and short term incorporating customer needs, input and feedback from other internal and external groups.
Work with program managers to identify and evaluate new markets for existing services, and other development and marketing partnership opportunities.
This will include market segmentation, value proposition development, product positioning, pricing strategy, branding strategy, channel strategy, and communications strategy development.
The position will require approximately 20-40% travel.
