Director of Business Development- Remote

This is a Full-time position in Juneau, AK posted December 26, 2021.

A leader in cutting-edge research and technology in the cyber arena, CPMG focuses on using business drivers to guide cybersecurity activities and manage risk.

We offer flexible, integrative solutions for DoD contractors, among others, and specialize in cybersecurity, information and operational technology, electronic security surveillance, and support services.

SUMMARY

Under general direction of the President of CP Marine, the Director of Business Development, will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive internal and external marketing plan to increase revenues and profits.

The Director of Business Development will uphold the mission and values established by Goldbelt, Inc.

and have routine contact with vendors and external customers.

The Director of Business Development is responsible for building a pipeline and closing deals to grow company business.

He/she will engage with senior level customers across Federal civilian and defense contracting sectors, and with other Federal contractors.

Performance will be evaluated on rapid build out of high pWIN pipeline and closing deals.

Need someone with an entrepreneurial spirit to build and win new business.

Business focus is on cyber security compliance for Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems (e.g.

Industrial Control Systems, SCADA, PLCs, FRCS), and IT support services.

Experience with Alaska Native Corporations a plus.

  • Define federal contracting opportunities, build pipeline and win deals
  • Define and implement go-to-market strategy with corporate President
  • Create and maintain account plans for each major customer
  • Provide timely and accurate forecast updates and execute aggregate plans that deliver target revenue and bookings
  • Bottom line: we need someone to drive and win new business for significant growth.

    Must be a creative deal-closer with solution based selling background and track record of closing multiple $20-30 million single award deals for new business.

JOB DUTIES

Key activities performed include (but not limited to):

  • Business Strategy Development – Define, refine, test and implement strategic plans.

    These activities include primary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, customer needs assessment.

    Define the product roadmap in the long, mid and short term.

  • Alliance Development – Identify, build, and manage long-term relationships with strategic partners in market segments related to Goldbelt Glacier.

    Initiate and complete proposals, presentations, terms and conditions, negotiations and execution strategic for alliances and Joint Ventures.

  • Product Portfolio Management –Provide marketing expertise for the day-to-day management of the development pipeline.

    These activities include opportunity assessment, market evaluation, market research, financial evaluation, and other marketing needs required throughout the business development process.

    Define the business development roadmap in the long, mid and short term incorporating customer needs, input and feedback from other internal and external groups.

  • New Business Development – Identify and evaluate specific business opportunities.

    Work with program managers to identify and evaluate new markets for existing services, and other development and marketing partnership opportunities.

  • Marketing Strategy Development –Coordinate with the management team to develop sound marketing strategies to win in the marketplace.

    This will include market segmentation, value proposition development, product positioning, pricing strategy, branding strategy, channel strategy, and communications strategy development.

    The position will require approximately 20-40% travel.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Highly developed organizational, planning and management writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively with other
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Work, Excel and PowerPoint to create materials and presentations
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented work
  • Ability to interact effectively with management, military personnel, the public and staff to provide marketing and recruitment services
  • Skilled proposal writer
  • Forward thinking strategist and planner
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in Federal contracting
  • Must be competent with Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Experience with GovWin and GSA eBuy a plus
  • Experience negotiating teaming agreements a plus.
  • Strategic planning experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, computer science, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Five years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Certified Business Development Manger (CBDM) certificate preferred
