Specific Responsibilities:

- Leading and planning billing operations in accordance with Utilization Review, Admissions and Medical
- Supervises Billing Operations; performs duties such as charge entry, payment posting, reimbursement management, claim submissions, audits and account receivable follow-up
- Carry out audits of current procedures and processes, discover billing and admission operation areas to work on and make improvements
- Obtains credentialing as needed
- Completes insurance contract negotiation and rate negotiations as needed i.e, multiplan, SCA, various insurance companies, etc.
- Provides revenue cycling and revenue forecast at least weekly with direct supervisor
- Stores and manages the credentialing process i.e, NPI numbers, licenses etc.
- Train and allocate work assignments with appropriate personnel
- Ensure quality and appropriate trainings are provided to directors of each department involved in billing processes by adhering to established company operating policies, procedures and systems protocols, techniques, and standards
- Carry out analysis of trends affecting coding, charges, accounts receivable, and collection and assign manageable tasks
- Collaborate with appropriate departments to analyze additional information to be able to record and process billing effectively
- Ensures billing department carries out all its activities in accordance with payer, State, and Federal requirements, regulations, and guidelines
- Remains up to date on HIPAA and all other health information and management issues and regulations
- Give requested reports and a report of all concerns and issues to your direct supervisor
- Develops reports and discusses Accounts Receivable information with direct supervisor
- Working knowledge of billing coding software i.e, KIPU, Collaborative MD, etc.
Kingsway Qualifications:
- Billing management experience preferred
- Registered medical coder preferred
- 3-5 years experience in substance abuse treatment preferred
- Trained/Certified in CPR and Basic Life Support
- To be Culturally Competent
- Knowledge of and experience working with all Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of 12-Step Recovery Program theory
- Minimum High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
