Prince William Sound Regional Citizens Advisory Council
The Prince William Sound Regional Citizens’ Advisory Council is hiring a full-time Director of Administration to work in the Council’s Anchorage, Alaska office. The Director of Administration functions as an important member of the management team and responsibilities include: general administration and management functions, ensuring good governance practices and adherence to adopted policies and procedures, oversight of human resources functions, oversight and coordination of the Long Range Planning Committee process, management functions related to company insurance, travel, procurement, and contracting policies, oversight of the document management and information technology functions, and assisting the Executive Director and Financial Manager with internal financial controls.
The Council was formed in the aftermath of the Exxon Valdez oil spill with the mission of promoting the environmentally safe operation of the Valdez Marine Terminal and the associated tankers. The Council has an annual operating budget around $4.2M with a total staff of 18 and over 50 volunteers.
