Director, LLM Enrollment The George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School invites applications for a Director, LLM Enrollment.
The Director, LLM Enrollment is the lead administrator working with recruitment and matriculation of the law school’s LLM degree programs.
The school currently offers the following programs LLM in Law and Economics (residential); LLM in Global Antitrust Law and Economics (residential and online); LLM in Intellectual Property Law (residential); LLM in US Law (residential and online); and LLM in Cyber, Intelligence, & National Security Law pending acquiescence by the ABA (residential).
The Director, LLM Enrollment reports to the Assistant Dean for Admissions & Enrollment Management and is responsible for the growth of the LLM Programs.
The successful candidate must have a passion for mentoring students and for marketing and expanding academic programs.
The position requires excellent communication and leadership skills, an ability to develop relationships and pipelines with University partners, and a talent for recruiting prospective applicants.
As many LLM applicants come from overseas, the position may require Organizationerate international travel.

About the Program The LLM (Master of Laws) Program provides the opportunity to earn an advanced degree in law to students who have earned a JD from a US law school or a law degree from outside of the US.
Major Duties General to the LLM Programs Develop and administer the marketing and recruitment budget in consultation with the Director of Finance and the Assistant Dean for Admissions & Enrollment Management; Serve as a liaison to departments, such as the library, technology department, career services office, and others in relation to LLM matriculation and orientation; Work with faculty, the Assistant Dean for Student Academic AffInstitutes, and the Assistant Director, LLM Student Academic AffInstitutes & Assessments, on LLM curricular updates and changes; Work collaboratively with the Assistant Director, LLM Student Academic AffInstitutes & Assessments to organize a vibrant program of professional and social activities for LLM students and coordinate event logistics in relation to orientation; Work with the Assistant Director, LLM Student Academic AffInstitutes & Assessment to implement individualized support tailored to best preparing students for the Program; Assist in the expansion of existing and growth of new LLM programs.
Admissions and Recruiting Develop specialized marketing for LLM programs, including writing and distributing printed materials, creating and updating Web materials, and advertising; Work with the LLM & Specialty Programs Committee to pursue MOUs and other collaboration agreements that will lead to student pipelines; Respond to questions from prospective applicants; Conduct all LLM admissions processes including application revisions/updates, application review, applicant interviews, and prospective applicant inquiry responses Work with law faculty on yield activities to encourage admitted students to matriculate; Work with GMU’s online partner, Wiley, and its subcontractor BarBri/iLaw.
LLM Matriculation Student Support Work with Mason’s Office of International Programs and Services to facilitate resolution of visa issues for LLM admits; Provide guidance on housing for LLM admits.
Job Qualifications/Requirements Required Master’s degree or higher; Strong writing and editing skills; Demonstrated organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills that exhibit an ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Demonstrated ability to utilize a range of communication channels with diverse groups of students, faculty, administrators, staff, and members of the bench and bar from a wide range of backgrounds; Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Experience and interest in working with diverse groups of people; Ability and desire to travel independently by Institute, automobile, train or bus.
Preferred LLM and/or JD/JD equivalent; Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Mandarin; Experience in admissions or other university affInstitutes settings, preferably in legal education; Professional experience recruiting.
