Principal Accountabilities (Key Result Areas)

  • Oversee delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish organizational goals, strategies, and priorities
  • Participate in the formulation of general management policy as a member of the management team
  • Review, draft, and negotiate legal agreements for clients and vendors, including non-disclosure agreements, license agreements and master services agreements
  • Manage litigation
  • Liaise with government and regulatory authorities and external legal advisers
  • Ensure high standards of corporate governance within the company to meet statutory and executive obligations, including advising when Board action is desirable and drafting minutes, consents and corporate governance policies
  • Provide guidance and direction on personnel incidents and investigations on behalf of the Company
  • Assist in developing appropriate Company standard operating procedures
  • Assist in long-term planning for the management of the Company’s legal affairs
  • Manage matters related to the Company’s intellectual property (“IP”) and ensure that third-party IP is properly used and safeguarded

Knowledge

  • Qualification: Juris Doctor or equivalent
  • Experience: 10+ years of applicable experience as an in-house counsel to international companies
