The Director, Global Entity Management will be responsible for the framework and oversight of the Global Entity Management (GEM) Program.

GEM was set up to design, operate and optimize an infrastructure to meet business priorities and regulatory expectations in the jurisdictions in which PayPal does business.

The right candidate is a self-motivated individual that is able to effectively work and communicate collaboratively / cross-functionally with multiple teams located in different geographies.

The right candidate must have a hands-on approach, strong management skills and attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities:
This role, reporting to the Senior Director, Risk and Platforms Governance, will be responsible for:

  • Enhancing PayPal’s GEM Program Framework, including improving program processes, driving alignment across legal entities, and developing reporting at both the global and legal entity levels.
  • Utilizing technology to automate processes.
  • Overseeing PayPal’s license applications and the maintenance of its licenses.
  • Working with stakeholders to respond to regulatory surveys and partner due diligence requests.
  • Reviewing key metrics and reporting and escalating to senior leadership as appropriate.
  • Actively developing relationships and working collaboratively with cross functional groups.
  • Driving and implementing strategic initiatives.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • At least ten years of legal, governance or business experience required.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with experience presenting to Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business leading complex project management initiatives with high attention to detail and accuracy; while multitasking and meeting deadlines despite competing priorities.
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership skills including relationship-building and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in and negotiate with a diverse group of key business partners/stakeholders including senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, self-starter and highly motivated to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to credibly challenge solutions and ensure that timely escalation of issues and concerns occurs as and when appropriate.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and exhibit agility in navigating from current state to proposed solutions.
