Director, Distributed Solar

nn International Energy Company is seeking a Director, Distributed Solar.

The Company is considering penetrating into distributed solar business in US with strategic partnership with US Solar Development Company (Partner).

The individual will be the external interface between the Company, Partner and other parities such as Advisors.

Also, he/she will be providing general support to business development activities related to mainly distributed solar including community scale solar and battery based on his/her experience in US renewable space as well as being responsible for project evaluations, due diligence, and research in conjunction with renewable industry of the US.nn nn 1.

Liaison between the Company and Partnernn Lead communication between the Company and Partner, especially at senior management level based on his/her deep understanding of US Distributed Solar market related commercial/financial capability and expertise.

Ac as a liaison/facilitator among related business parties, not only Partner but also banks, EPC companies, external consultants, while explaining the company’s concept to them and finding the best approach which would create strategic platform ins US distributed solar industry.

Work with Partner to identify new business opportunity or market segment in which the company and Partner can expect potential growth, including analysis of local regulation and energy related policy trend.

Provide instruction or advice to counterparts in the head office regarding US renewable business practice Attend or observe the meetings of the Board of Directors, Committees, or regular meetings with Partner and create monthly report regarding Distributed Solar business development.

Business development for new opportunitiesnn Assist with contract evaluation such as PPA, EPC, Interconnection, Lease and O&M arrangements.

Assist in the development of information sharing platforms and documentation required for communication with Head Office Respond to Head Office’s requests for technical/commercial information, research and advice.

Support business development activities by providing due diligence support on asset acquisitions and/or evaluation on project development activities.

nn Requirementnn 5 years’ experience in solar energy industry Experience playing main role in communicating with external companies Experience of PPA negotiation/arrangement with local power utilities preferred Experience of non-recourse debt financing arrangement preferred Experience in power storage (battery) industry preferred Bachelor’s degree Excellent verbal and written communications skills Proficient in MS Office Available for business trip (up to 20%) Team player, adaptable, to be able to perform in diversified environment
