DIRECTOR, DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY, Alumni Association (MITAA), to develop and execute overall targeted digital communications and marketing strategies. Will lead the effort to build a cutting-edge and consumer-centric digital marketing presence to engage MIT alumni, students, friends, and donors with MIT and each other; offer guidance, direction, and supervision to the senior digital strategist; collaborate with the Strategic Communications and Marketing (SCM) leadership team to offer broad-picture strategy and organizational team development; and work closely with colleagues across SCM, Annual Fund, Resource Development, and across campus to create a focused communications and marketing strategy that advances the MITAA and MIT toward its goals of engaging its community of alumni and friends.Job RequirementsREQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least five years’ digital communications experience; two years of supervisory/management experience; excellent relationship-building, negotiation, interpersonal, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills; professional experience with digital platforms, i.e., early adopter/follower of new media trends; ability to relate with customers/colleagues at all levels; initiative and ability to anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change; ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple competing demands, deliver high quality results, and meet deadlines; meticulous attention to detail; experience identifying and reaching target audiences and engaging with prospective clients; understanding of the role of customer service in marketing efforts; experience with major social media channels, email systems, IBM Watson, iModules, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Adobe products, HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms; and ability to work in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative, team-oriented environment.
