Job Description

Under the guidance of the Vice President
– Compliance, the Director of Compliance plays an integral role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Resorts World Las Vegas’ compliance program to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and state laws.

The Director of Compliance will possess strong substantive knowledge in more than one of the following areas of corporate compliance: Nevada Gaming Regulations, Anti -Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control, Anti -Bribery and Corruption, Third-Party Due Diligence, Ethics, and Internal Investigations.

The successful candidate is someone who can foster a collaborative culture and teamwork.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes, but is not limited to:

  • Maintain, manage and revise the responsible gaming program.
  • Create a culture of compliance and empower team members to act with confidence in reporting areas of potential non-compliance.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and submission of all departmental Internal Controls.
  • Manage the design, development, execution and monitoring of both core and refresher compliance training programs.
  • Assist with the design, implementation and remediation of AML audit testing.
  • Collaborate with the internal auditors to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • At least eight years of experience in compliance, regulatory or legal environment.
  • At least five years of leadership/management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Nevada gaming regulations and FinCEN guidance as it pertains to the casino/gaming industry.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, the ability to negotiate and persuade, and a sound understanding of corporate compliance and general business practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to lead a team, influence and collaborate in a cross functional environment.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Preferred

  • CAMS, CRCM or CIA certification.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to plan strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution.
  • Ability to present, articulate, and defend analysis with key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and solution oriented.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
