POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Business Development is responsible for establishing, deploying and successfully executing a portion of the Clay Lacy Aviation (CLA) Strategic and Sales Plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Fleet Development
- Work closely with the VP of Fleet Development for effective management of the sales process for aircraft management.
- Aircraft management sales responsibilities and performance as set forth in the Sales Plan (outbound and inbound)
- Utilizing Tail P&L Financial Model, ensure CLA is making targeted and meaningful client and new business decisions.
- Manage effective aircraft onboarding and service continuum/hand over to aircraft managers.
- Analyze competitive intelligence for innovation and constant improvement.
Aircraft Management
- For the accounts obtained through business development efforts (up to 10), remain as the active manager to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Includes and is not limited to: Onboarding activity, recruitment, customer meetings/greetings, management of account stakeholders (Crew, Maintenance, etc.), monthly summary, and work order review.
Influencer Management
- Maintain the Influencer Management Program in conjunction with CLA stakeholders for messaging and relationships.
- Enhance Influencer relationship and involvement in the industry and specifically for the Flight Department segments.
- Monitor deal flows and provides an industry intel feedback loop.
Key Performance Indicators
- Meet and report with VPFD on weekly pipeline meetings and Monthly one-on-ones to track metrics in line with the 2020 ACMS Sales and Individual goals as listed above.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Aviation Management required.
- CAM, MBA, and/or PhD preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 15+ years of Business Aviation Experience.
- Prefer 5+ years of operational experience within a Charter Management or Aircraft Management company operating business jets.
REQUIREMENTS AND DESIRED ABILITIES
- Procedure (SOP) and Business Plan Development
- Analytical and strategic selling as well as document and legal review is preferred.
- Knowledge of company procedures, capabilities to make quick decisions on deal points.
- Professional Presentation, follow-through, and written composition
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Project Management and organization
- Proficiency In forecasting and financial modeling
- Other responsibilities as requested or assigned.
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background checks.
