Digital Customer Care Strategic Data Consultant

This is a Full-time position in Juneau, AK posted December 27, 2021.
- Design, develop and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions
- Interact with cross-functional business stakeholders to understand their questions and issues and formulate approaches for data analysis and experiments
- Develop and code software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources
- Identify meaningful insights and findings from large data and metadata sources; interpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments in ways business audiences understand
- Clearly communicate complex modeling outcomes and insights to business stakeholders
- Be an internal leader in statistics including descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression
- Form collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and team members
- Complete in-depth data analysis and contribution to strategic efforts
- Complete understanding of how we manage data with focus on improvement of how data is sourced and managed across multiple business areas.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4+ years of data analysis working with business data initiatives.
- At least 3+ years experience in open source programming languages
- Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or relational databases and use in data access and analysis.
- Proficient in data management including data analytical capability.
- Excellent verbal and written communications also high attention to detail.
- Experience with Python.
- Presentation skills in demonstrating system design and data analysis solutions.
- Experience working with large data sets and multiple sources of data; comfortable using excel and SQL/Oracle query tools
- Proven success working across multiple priorities with limited guidance
- Strong quantitative orientation, analytical skills, and seasoned judgment as well as a high level of intellectual curiosity and tolerance for navigating ambiguity
- Must be able to explore multiple solutions to a problem and present and defend solutions based on an analysis of facts and an understanding of stakeholder needs
- Ability to manage own priorities and adapt quickly to changes
- Prior experience driving continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility
- Desire to learn and ability to apply learnings to business issues
- Self-starter with proven ability to organize and direct quality work efforts
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, Comfortable interacting with vendors, business partners and internal IT teams
- Master’s degree in computer science or engineering.
- Familiar with agile project delivery process.
- Familiarity with survey scripting and data reporting platforms such as Confirmit or Qualtrics
- Candidate should be able to troubleshoot problem areas and identify data gaps and issues.
- Ability to adapt to fast changing environment.
- Salary range $93,000 – $128,000 with bonus opportunity
