Another Chance House Director of Development Classification: Exempt Reports to: Executive Director JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The Director of Development’s primary responsibilities will be to develop, implement, and manage the organization’s development/marketing plan based upon the annual budget.
Responsible for planning, execution, control, and evaluation of fundraising, community relations, and events.
Will work closely with the executive director, board of directors, and fundraising volunteers to enhance and support the overall mission of the organization to assure that ample unrestricted and program funds are generated.

Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization’s fundraising activities.

Participate in the development of the corporation’s plans as a strategic partner.3.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new fundraising activities, and the management thereof.4.
Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the board of directors as an effective developer of solutions to challenges faced by the organization.5.
Develop a fundraising plan annually to meet the financial needs of the organization.6.
Provide strategic input and leadership regarding finances and decision-making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential growth and the possible expansion of programs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position.
The typical work week is Monday through Friday.
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend and evening work.
Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required.
Required Education and Experience 1.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.2.
5 -8 years of related industry experience.3.
Knowledge and ability to utilize software applications.
(MS Office, Database, Email) Preferred Education and Experience 1.
Fundraising Certification CFRE or ACFRE2.
10-15 years of related industry experience.
