Data Security Program Manager, Tech Lead

Provides comprehensive consultation to the business unit and IT Project management and strategies.

Undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge.

Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.

Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.

Defines project scope and objectives.

Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

Responsible for project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.

Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

Provides specialized knowledge and analytical guidance to project team

Major Duties:

1.

Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and information security management and strategies.

Undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge.

3.

Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.

Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.

4.

Defines project scope and objectives.

Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

5.

Acts as a resource for direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.

6.

Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.

7.

Handles the most complex Data Security projects.

Coordinates with users to determine requirements.

Knowledge/ Skills:

• Understand and be capable of implementing a Data Security program to both business and technical communities within the sphere of data security domain
• Understand key business drivers of those functions which enter, modify, manage, and consume the data within domain
• Possess broad-based knowledge of regulatory requirements related to PII and PCI data.
• Understand all aspects of defining requirements and building a sustainable data security program plan
• Capable of engaging senior leadership with business, operations, and technology
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possess strong leadership and organizational awareness skills
• Possess proven facilitation and conflict resolution skills
• Possess exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
• Capable of driving enterprise-wide initiatives for the protection of data and data leakage prevention tools
• Capable of addressing data issues proactively
• Capable of defining and writing acceptance criteria for regulatory requirements and issues

Experience Required:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least six, typically eight or more years related experience as a project team member of which at least two years have been in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
