Responsibilities
The role requires a high degree of ingenuity and innovation to develop tools and techniques in the data analytics space.
A candidate can expect to do some or all of the following:
Identify, collect, analyze, and validate data from a variety of data sources
Identify opportunities to design and develop modules that enable effective and repeatable analysis of large datasets
Work with team to identify requirements, design, implement and test analytical methods and solutions
Research, identify, test, and develop software solutions that may enhance existing client service offerings
Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance, and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights
Leverage automation, cognitive, and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions
Drive operational efficiency by maintaining data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providing offerings for continuous insights and improvements
Provide effective team management of and leadership for the client engagement team
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of experience analyzing large datasets or related work experience in a financial services company OR
Masters Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of experience analyzing large datasets or related work experience in a financial services company
Demonstrated knowledge or advanced business analytics and data mining solutions
Experience analyzing or managing accounting, financial or transactional data
Strong working knowledge of relational databases
Ability to innovate and adapt to a rapidly changing technology landscape and develop/enhance services to meet new client demands
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as demonstrable evidence of effective team leadership, client relationship development and engagement management
SQL proficiency with demonstrated experience in enterprise data principles (RDBMS, Big Data)
Reporting/Visualization Tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
Experience with Scripting Technologies such as R and/or Python
Experience with Statistical tools such as SAS
Due to our contractual requirements, to be eligible for this role, you must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated at time of hire
Preferred:
Ability to perform ETL (Extract, Transform and Load)
Databases (e.g.
Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, Big Data technologies like Hadoop)
Robotics and Machine Learning / Analytic packages (H2O, Palantir)
Practical application of machine learning algorithms
