Position Summary: CRM Marketing Manager
– Carlsbad, CA
As the Global CRM Marketing Manager, you will lead and execute against key CRM Marketing initiatives across multiple regions with cross-functional stakeholders to consistently review and improve how we use a multitude of data sources we have access to for various marketing initiatives, including but not limited to; email, marketing automation, paid media channels via audience targeting and re-targeting, lead generation, lead qualification.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, marketing and technology to improve the overall customer experience.
You will love to deeply analyze data, derive analysis and insights and deliver such insights in a business-friendly way which inspires marketing teams to adopt and act on recommendations.
You have a great can-do and ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude whereby you are comfortable leading and executing against cross-functional initiatives, communicating through different levels of the organization (peers and leaders), manipulating large data sets in Excel or other available tools and learning new tools/technology to support advancing our CRM evolution and the business need.
Remotely based in or near the Carlsbad, CA area.
What will you do?
Demonstrated ability to deeply analyze customer data to inform different marketing functions.
Ability to tell stories with data, educate effectively, and instill confidence, motivating a diverse set of stakeholders to act on recommendations.
Experience with customer segmentation, data enrichment tools and technologies, and personalization at scale (preferably in a B2B and B2C context).
Experience writing basic to intermediate SQL queries to pull own data sets and manipulate large data sets to analyze and derive insights and recommendations.
You will have support with more advanced SQL queries from internal team members.
A great communicator and can build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Can speak to a business stakeholder as easily as can speak to an IT/technical stakeholder.
Collaborate with Data Quality, Privacy and regional CRM teams to support database clean up and contact/customer health initiatives such as contact duplication, contact engagement in different marketing channels, contact aging, and contact frequency to avoid contact fatigue.
Proactively monitor and grow contact database inclusive of; net new contacts, emailable contacts, building new contact acquisition, retention and win-back strategies to ensure our contact database is always growing in a healthy way and removing old and inactive contacts to ensure our database is clean.
Collaborate with marketing teams to identify and execute against key initiatives to improve our paid media audience targeting capabilities through the usage of 1st and 3rd party data via a DMP (Data Management Platform).
Work with marketing teams to support prospecting initiatives with data enrichment tools and technologies (ZoomInfo, Dunn & Bradstreet, etc.).
Collaborate with marketing and IT teams to build out advanced capabilities with Eloqua and SFDC inclusive of integration capabilities to drive forward delivering a 360 customer to support both sales and marketing initiatives.
Pursues data quality, troubleshoots data validation, and sees issues to resolution.
Provides guidance and support to stakeholders on how best to harness available data in support of critical business needs and goals.
Identify further CRM initiatives by working with regional and business stakeholders to build out requirements and work with corresponding teams to implement.
Stays up to date on CRM and email best practices and industry insights.
Ability to manage multiple projects end-to-end to meet objectives and deadlines.
How will you get here?
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or life science required, advanced degree in marketing, communications or business is preferred.
5+ years of proven hands-on marketing experience, including at least 5 years in a CRM marketing capacity.
Experience working with a marketing automation platform and Salesforce CRM, and experience with IBM/Unica campaign a plus.
Basic to intermediate SQL experience.
Technologically savvy and stays up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Data-driven marketer with a passion for driving results.
Comfortable working with large data sets and knowledge in basic SQL and advanced Excel.
Self-starter and collaborative within project teams, and successful track record working in complex (matrixed) environments, including managing expectations of multiple stakeholders across business units and regions.
Strong understanding of CRM marketing principles.
Exceptional communication skills balancing the needs of the many while delivering actionable outcomes.
