Compute and Storage Tools and Lab Manager – This individual will lead the Compute and Storage Tools and Lab teams.  The team is responsible for the Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Backup, Object/S3, and physical server tools from our vendors.  The team collaborates across the organization to plan and build storage tools.  This work enables the storage organization to meet the enterprise governance, regulatory, and business requirements.  The team owns application lifecycle management including Software Development Lifecycle Management (SDLC) for these tools.  The team is responsible for managing the storage and server devices in our lab.  This includes planning installs, de-installs, and lifecycle management.

This leader will need to navigate through complex problems requiring a technical understanding of storage and physical server infrastructure and tooling.  Drive agile adoption/methodologies across the team.  Drive reports and functionality to turn complex data sets into actions based on sound business logic.  Drive policy, process, and technology change enabling efficiency without compromising on risk or security.

As an Employee Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically, you will:

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.
     

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technology engineering experience
  • 4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
  • 4+ years of Server experience
  • 1+ year of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
  • 1+ year of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Experience defining and/or developing business initiatives that require integration of multiple technology systems
  • NAS experience
  • SAN (Storage Area Network) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology: backup and recovery solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing
  • Knowledge and understanding of compiling and preparing executive summaries, whitepaper, and presentations for management/senior leaders
  • A BA/BS degree or higher in business or finance

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
  • Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
