Position Purpose Sleep Number is seeking an experienced Compensation Consultant who is looking to make an impact in a fast paced and innovative organization.
The Compensation Consultant will play a role in further developing Sleep Number’s compensation strategy in order to attract, retain and motivate team members while supporting business initiatives.
The Compensation Consultant role is open to a remote worker, otherwise will reside at our Headquarters location in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Primary Responsibilities Provide expertise and guidance to Human Resources Business Partners and business leaders on a range of day-to-day compensation topics, including market analysis for new positions and promotions, and staying ahead of retention issues.
Bring industry experience and a point of view to drive process improvement in partnership with Human Resource Business Partner and business leaders.
Consult and partner with Sales leadership, Home Delivery, and Headquarters leaders on compensation plan revisions to drive improved business results.
Collaborate and provide analysis/recommendations on compensation strategy for the company through compensation owned projects.
Participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary data utilizing Market Pay.
Develop insightful and impactful modeling and reporting to enable data supported recommendations and decisions.
Produce workforce analytics and proactively identify trends that are affecting the business.
Participate in compensation owned Workday processes and administration.
Position Requirements 7 years Compensation, Human Resources, Finance and/or General Business experience 4 year college degree or equivalent Advanced level Excel skills including calculating variable pay plans and creating costing models and features such as Pivot Tables Experience with data management and reporting functions in Compensation Management Platforms Proven experience acting as a subject matter expert in partnership with human resources and the business Knowledgeable in compensation best practices Adept at understanding complex concepts and situations presented by the business Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate across teams on special projects Demonstrated ability to manage change, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication li-remote
