COMMUNITY PRESIDENT
Summary of Job Function
As the Leader of the community, you will Build People by selecting, developing and retaining people who support Thrive’s culture with their skills and passions. You will Build Census by being strategic and adaptable, and equipping & empowering the Community Relations Director. You will Build Profit by maximizing profits by controlling labor and food costs within established budget guidelines. You will collaborate and build strong relationships with clear communication.

- Consistent and productive 1:1s with team leaders in community
- Schedules time to coach and develop team
Address Thinking Before Actions
- Schedules time to coach and develop team
- Attend and/or hold team meetings and assist in identifying and correcting problems
Essential Responsibilities for Building Census
Creates an experience so good the guest can’t wait to become residents
Be Confident in the Flow of the Building
- Ensure the Community meets Thrive’s established standards as well as accreditation established by licensing and certification agencies
- Sets clear expectations and holds team accountable for delivering Thrive service behaviors
- Tracking toward 100% occupancy with a waiting list
- Ensure proper maintenance of building and grounds through leadership of preventative and corrective maintenance programs
- Responsible for the strategy to maintain established quality, service and cleanliness compliance for assigned communities and creating action plans for improvement
Equip and Empower the CRD
- Monthly ride-along with CRD
Essential Responsibilities for Building Profit
Maintains the balance between providing a high-quality team member and residents experience, and achieving financial goals
Keep the Budget Warm
- Assure that established budget guidelines for Community are maintained through the development, implementation and monitoring of budget control and cost containment programs
- On target for quarterly NOI goal
- Analyzes the P&L (sales, labor and food cost)
Manage Labor and Food Cost Daily
- Controls food and equipment inventory, conducts daily and weekly inventory counts, keeps records and monitors food cost
- Analyzes labor during and after each shift; makes adjustments to labor as needed
Guard the Playbook
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent people leadership and guest service skills required
- Acute business acumen, knowledge of development, knowledge of marketing and leadership skills that highlight the ability to influence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Innovative and creative self-starter, with the ability to devise solutions to complex problems, and to implement those solutions hands-on
- Highly organized with the ability to plan for, execute and monitor business performance
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-3 years experience working in an administrator role, preferably in senior living
