nn About the Role nn nn The primary function of a Commercial Lines Manager/Marketer is for placement of accounts, both new and renewal.

This person is a sharp, personable, and highly organized team leader who supports Advisors as we continue to grow.

A CL Manager/Marketer gives efficient support to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the team, represents the team to our carriers and has the ability to work through tasks with ease.

The CL Manager/Marketer is a problem solver and has a heart for serving others.nn nn n nn nnThis role ideally sits in Columbia, MO at the TIG Advisors headquarters, however, with the right candidate, the role may be located in Chesterfield and Jefferson City, MO.

nn nn   nn nn What You’ll Do nn Act as liaison between agency and companies (meeting via Zoom or at local office) Be familiar with all markets/companies and underwriting standards Attend company meetings to strengthen agency and company relationship as well as meet with marketing representatives when they routinely visit the agency. Keep profile on underwriter for staff reference in the carrier contacts Be accountable for monitoring agency obligations for any special programs, if any, and regularly report this information to agency leadership Stay alert for new markets as well as explore items such as self-insurance and other programs not standard with our companies Expect new market considerations from leadership or producers – help build business plan to meet new company expectations for annual WP Recommend elimination of unnecessary markets to EVP and Chief Operating Officer
– This will be a joint business decision Create and maintain agency marketing spreadsheet for reference purposes to be used by all agency employees Utilize EPIC marketing module to track all new business quotes New Business: Qualify new business for eligibility and markets Enforce minimum coverage requirements as set forth by agency, if any established.

Expect new business worksheet from Advisors on new business Establish a quote due date with Advisor Update Advisor on status of new business Confer with Sr.

Client Managers for Client Manager (CM) assignment on new business, if necessary.

Spreadsheet the quote results/coverages and recommend your preferred market to the Advisor Onboard new clients and transfer client to the CM On occasion, may assist Commercial Lines Client Managers with market qualification and placement of renewal accounts Train Commercial Lines CMs or Client Advocates on various product items including online rating or provide direction for self-training (websites, etc.) OR coordinate this with the marketing rep.

when needed Provide Chief Operating Officer weekly new business reports (what is being marketed) Assist COO with Advisors input to determine niche marketing opportunities for the agency Attend and sometimes lead department meetings Complete Annual Performance Reviews on P&C Staff Approve PTO and offer Leadership support to CL/PL Team nn   nn nn What You’ll Need nn BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience Currently hold a P&C Insurance License At least 5 years’ experience as a CSR (Client Manager) in commercial lines at an independent insurance agency OR At least 5 years’ experience as a marketer in commercial insurance at an independent insurance agency Attention to detail.
