****** $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS! ******:$70k $100k a yearPosition Summary:The Director of Nursing plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Nursing department to ensure the highest degree of quality patient care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:Must have a minimum of an ASN degree from accredited college or universityMust be currently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.Must have two (2) years supervisory experience in a post acute care or related settingMust have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.Specific Job Requirements:Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriateLiaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for patient needsMust be able to collect, analyze, and manage dataMust have expert knowledge in field of practiceMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionMust be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facilityMust have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmentMust perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitationMaintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationMust understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance trainingEssential Functions:Must be able to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, establish benchmarks, and direct staffMust be able to recruit, select, hire, train, evaluate, counsel, and supervise nursing staffMust be able to assign appropriate level of CNAs and LPNs per shiftMust be able to effectively manage department budgetMust be able to direct care provided by nursing staffMust be able to provide direct nursing care as necessaryMust be able to perform functions of a staff nurse as requiredMust be able to effectively manage and operate within budgetMust exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsMust be able to assist in the evacuation of patientsMust demonstrate dependable, regular attendanceMust be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentMust be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamMust be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hoursMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageAn Equal Opportunity Employer
