You’ll be working out of our Reston, VA office.

(Can accommodate Annapolis and Rockville locations as well)n n Job Detailsn n The Post Closing Manager is responsible for managing a team of post closers.

This person will ensure the files are reviewed and shipped.

They will also ensure final documents are organized.

Files are reviewed for adherence to quality and underwriting standards.n nPosition Responsibilitiesn nOverall responsibility for ensuring that the Post Closing function is running efficiently throughout the loan process.nIdentifies and executes changes to the process flow as needed.nEffectively manages the pipeline by distributing work effectively within the post-closing team and ensuring that all turnaround times are met or exceeded.nLeads manages and coaches a staff of team members including assigning of work, time management, and conducting Performance Management Review (PMR) related activities.nEnsures that direct reports are doing the followingnReceive closing package from settlement companies and log Notes into Encompass and store Notes in the appropriate location.nReview signed loan documents for compliance with federal and state laws as well as Bank policies.nReview and audit loan files for completion and accuracy; verify that all requested items are valid and that stipulations are met.nCorrespond with title companies to obtain outstanding closing documents.nEnsure that all loan files meet the Bank’s standard for quality and accuracy.nDevelop close/funded binders for investors; includes stacking, scanning, and transmitting binders/files to investors.nShip loans to investors.nObtain government insurance on applicable loans.nActivate Private Mortgage Insurance on applicable loans.nObtain, review, and fulfill Purchase Advices from the investor.nFollow up on overdue final title policies and recorded deeds of trust.nManage final documents are received and reported on with the vendor.nCreate efficiencies by reducing and/or eliminating manual processes or by streamlining.nReduce leakage by clearing pends in the timeline given by the supervisorn n Minimum Education & Experiencen n Previous experience as Mortgage Post ClosernPrevious team lead/supervisory experiencenFamiliarity with state and federal banking compliance laws.nBasic knowledge of the followingnPost-Closing practices, mortgage documentation, recording practices, title/abstract legalitiesnFHA, FNMA, HELOC, USDA, and FHLMC guidelines and/or terms.nAgency and underwriting guidelines.nAccounting principles such as debiting and creditingnTechnical Knowledge and Skillsn nMicrosoft office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)nEncompassnExcellent oral and written communication skillsnGood organizational and time management skills.nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.nMust have the ability to meet sudden deadlines.n nInterested in hearing more?
