Clarus: Quality Assurance Manager

This is a Full-time position in Fort Worth, TX posted March 1, 2022.

JOB PURPOSE:The Quality Manager will lead the Total Quality Management Program in a manufacturing environment developing and defining applicable work instruction, procedures, and processes.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing required and an LSS Black Belt Certification preferred.

Must develop and implement a quality control plan for this growing company.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide technical quality and continuous improvement leadership.Develop and document the product quality checks, frequencies, methods and procedures for manufacturing operations that build the criteria for a control planDevelop, document, and maintain world-class quality management system based on accepted ASQ processes and production strategies.

The quality system must meet compliance to accepted quality audit protocol.Champion customer satisfaction objectives that include customer relationship management and customer complaint resolution supported by root cause and corrective action methodologies.Drive implementation of eight disciplines (8D) problem solving throughout the organization.

Ability to teach and mentor the tool – responsible for proficiency across the operations teams.Own all quality data, retention of data and traceability of product.

Implement a robust quality database system.Identify improvement projects related to cost reduction, cycle time reduction, performance improvement and waste elimination.Lead, support and execute business process and system improvement projects using all the applicable lean six sigma tools and techniques.Lead Lean Six Sigma Continuous Process Improvement teams focused on meeting stated cost savings and waste elimination at all levels of the organization.Deliver effective and continuous training and support on the lean six sigma tools, principles, and methodologies.Act as a change agent in supporting the growth of the continuous improvement culture.

This includes maintaining a strong, positive personality to effectively deal with resistance to change.Provide positive interaction at all levels of the organization.Drive the implementation and sustainment of visual control management throughout the facility.Understand and proficiently use standard Lean six sigma tools.

(i.E.

Visio, Takt, DMAIC, DFSS, etc.)Encourage team building and development of cross-functional teams while utilizing individual skills, talents and experience.

Work as a self-directed team member with minimal daily supervision.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on process control and machine capability.5 years of experience in manufacturing operations business improvement with demonstrated success in applying continuous improvement/ lean/ six sigma tools.Experience at a Quality Manager level with supervisory of direct reports.Proven experience in developing people both formal and informal – effective relationship building skills while utilizing tools such as performance management reviews, individual development plans and succession planning.Project Management skills, able to identify and lead appropriate projects to move the Lean Manufacturing program forward.Experience/Knowledge of the 8D problem solving methodology.Experience leading six sigma continuous process improvement teams with a focus on cost and waste reduction.Experience being a champion of Lean Manufacturing with the ability to get buy in from others.Experience with Lean six sigma tools.

(i.E., Visio, Takt, DMAIC, DFSS, etc.).Bachelor’s degree required – MBA preferred.LSS Green Belt certification required
