Project Senior Analyst will manage execution of various Business as usual processes and functions related to Sanctions & Screening for the NAM line of businesses to provide Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight, and regulatory reporting services.
This role works closely with AML Risk and Controls teams, AML Compliance, and various Operation teams to ensure compliance to AML and Sanctions policies/procedures.
Role is critical to Citis obligation to service the needs of NAM customers across North America by ensuring Citis AML KYC programs are 1) performed accurately against procedures 2) identification of potential risks and control breaks across various line of businesses 3) providing prompt and accurate feedback to stakeholders of identified gaps in execution against AML KYC and Sanctions Policies and Regulations.Responsibilities:Develop project documentation including project plans, communications to impacted teams, procedure updates, training materials, etc.Facilitate both gap and root cause analysis (RCA) exercises between Legal, Compliance, Operations, Technology, Risk and the line of business and create action plans to push to resolution and ensure policy adherenceDeveloping and implementing processes and engaging with all relevant stakeholders, communicating with senior management and otherwise ensuring the success of the AML/KYC processes for NAM lines of businessAct as an SME for AML Screening and Sanctions Policies for NAM lines of business and develop sustainable solutions to meet policy requirements and mitigate riskLiaise with Compliance department, senior management, and operations within business units supportedOversee new client and business onboarding plus implement process enhancements to improve client onboarding experienceProvide Management Information System (MIS) reporting to senior management and ensure delivery of targets within timelines as requiredFacilitate Book of Work enhancements, projects, and initiativesIdentify project risks and defects and develop mitigation plans and workarounds as necessaryPerform detailed analysis for complex recommendations to ensure appropriate risk/reward balance, including policy changesWork with global functions and various business partners on an ad hoc basis to solution policy gaps, issues, and/or project risks Qualifications:5-8 years experience in at least one of the following: Risk, Operational Risk, Risk Operations, or Project management; knowledge of Credit Cards and Retail Banking a plusAbility to multi-task to support various projects while networking and building strong and effective relationships with key partnersExperience in using MS Project, PowerPoint and/or ExcelKnowledge of AML KYC regulations, policies, and standards, focus on Sanctions & Screening a plusAnalysis skills and experience with GAP analysis with ability to identify service gaps, process inefficiencies, technology opportunities and develop solutionsStrong conflict resolution skills, ability to work in a team environment collaborate across diverse groupsDetail oriented, with proven ability to question and identify opportunities within existing processes and strong attention to detail Education:Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience with ability to work independently and with minimum supervision is required Job Family Group: Compliance and Control Job Family:Business KYC Time Type:Full time Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
