The Sr.
Process Engineering Manager resolves optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products from start-up, building the product line, through satisfactory production.
This includes analyzing engineering design documents to establish manufacturing methods and processes to manufacture a component, crafting conceptual sketches and initiating the design and building of required tooling.
Describes outside vendor services needed for the manufacture of a component.
Establishes outsourced vendor manufacturing & quality plans.
Roles that drive improvement to product cost, quality and performance by applying Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) to appropriate job family.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Oversees and leads data management and process monitoring review of processes.Collaborates with the multi-functional manufacturing teams to sustain and drive continuous improvement for current tools and/or processesEnsures reliable and high quality on-the-floor technical support to production and quality which includes providing technical leadership in equipment and process-related investigations.Supports the creation of the work instructions and ensures manufacturing operations stay aligned with validated processes.Identifies and drives implementation of improvements to enhance yield, throughput, margin and capacity utilization.Champions continuous improvement in technical knowledge of biotechnology based manufacturingActs as the primary sustaining liaison with other Engineering Teams, as the need arises, to ensure the raw materials are compatible while maintaining and improving efficiency of the manufacturing linesDevelops KPIs and metrics to met team and departmental objectivesEnsures individual training and learning plans are kept current and that employees complete and document all required initial and continuing training in accordance with corporate training standards.
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)Finish the assigned and required training satisfactorily and on timeFor people managers, ensure your associates attend and finish the required trainings satisfactorily and on time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience (in years):Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level.A minimum of 5-8 years overall related engineering experience within medical device or a regulated industry.A minimum of 1-3 years overall related engineering management experience within medical device or a regulated industry.
The essential requirements of the job include:In depth knowledge of process engineering and equipment development and their practice in a commercial manufacturing operationsAbility to set high-reaching and realistic targets, commit to results and build accountability.Ability to explain sophisticated technical issues to other functions in clear and understandable termsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills to understand system interfaces and be able to quickly analyze, solve, and resolve system interoperability problemsExperience with failure investigations, root cause failure analysis, process engineering, etc.Fluent in the use of MS Excel for data analysis and presentation in graphic formatsWorking knowledge of design of experiments and interpretation of test resultsBe proficient in document preparation and editing, including detailed test planning and report writing.
