Summary:The will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
This plant produces both Old Wisconsin and Buddig products.
The plant manager will develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.They will promote and require GMPs, strong communication between the managers, supervisors, and the employees.
Communication and relationship building is key in this position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

* Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations on both the Buddig and OW sides of the facility to exceed our customers’ expectations* Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards* Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping* Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results* Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus* Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions* Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff* Making sure that the right people are in the right positions* Monitoring employee performance and attendance* Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime* Commit to plant safety procedures* Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets* Address employees’ issues or grievances in a fair and consistent manner* Influence and learn from employees* Drive continuous improvement* Optimize all processes* Plan/execute capital or new business projects* Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts* 4 Direct reports 500-600 employees between three shifts* There may be weekend or off hours work due to plant needsWork Environment and Physical Demands:* Must work independently with minimal supervision.* Must be flexible and able to work as needed* Must be able to work in temperatures of 34 degrees* Must be able to work in a high-speed environmentQualifications: * Proven work experience as a plant manager or extensive experience as an operations manager.* Proven managerial experience* Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)* Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.* USDA or FDA Experience.* Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes* Computer literacy* Red Zone Experience a Plus* Ability to create accountability and to lead by example* Strong team building, decision-making, development, and people management skillsEducation and/or Experience:* 4 Year Degree – Preferably in engineering, Operations Management, or Business Management.* Master’s degree a plus.recblid k4wdqgcz4as6g6d6u172oagse198ib
