K?pono Government Services LLC is looking for a qualified Calibration Laboratory Supervisor to support our contract with Pacific Missile Range, Koa Lani.
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Calibration Lab Supervisor for the PMRF Calibration Lab has responsibility for everyday operations of the laboratory, which include mechanical and electrical instrumental calibrations, maintaining data for calibrations and quality control under NAVAIR rules, reviewing final reports and record keeping, and physical maintenance of the laboratory.
The lab supervisor is also responsible for arranging outside support services and record keeping, including instrument service contracts, subcontracting sample analysis, etc.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Establishes lab operating policy and procedures and maintains documentation of the same
Maintains Calibration Lab activities based on NAVAIR and PMRF rules
Works with PMRF to set priorities and manage competing requirements for resources
Performs inventory management of parts, supplies, and tools
Ensures that complete and concise calibration results are documented per requirements, and that processes are managed, as required
Prepares and submits status reports and technical reports and briefs, as required, to Senior Management and Customers in timely manner
Prepares or reviews and approves for dissemination all Department Contract Data requirements (CDRLs)
Implements and carries out programs for the lab
Represent Koa Lani in planning meetings and design reviews
Approves timecards, leave requests, and travel requests of subordinates
Provides subordinates with training and guidance related to Quality Assurance, Security, Safety, and other Company Policy and Procedures
Monitors and reviews personnel performance and provides subordinates with counseling and guidance as required
Performs other duties as assigned
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Environment:
General office environment with site visits
Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills are required
Extended operational hours and occasional weekend/holiday activity during periods of surge mission support
Physical Activities:
Lifting, pushing and pulling: 25-50lbs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Equivalent years of experience may be substituted in lieu of education
Experience:
Five years of experience in management or supervision in electronic and/or electro/mechanical systems or related field; Four years of which must have been in the measurement systems field
Very strong organizational skills
Experience with QA/QC work a plus
Possesses knowledge of mechanical and electrical instrumental calibrations and maintaining data for calibrations
Direct Calibration lab experience preferred
Preferred experience in the calibration of force, pressure, dimensional, and/or electronic calibration
Security Clearance: Secret security clearance is required.
