We offer part-time, job share, and flexible working schedules.JOB SUMMARY:The Renewable Energy Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting and qualifying new key Customers and increasing revenue for all assigned Yokogawa Systems and Analytical solutions.
The Business Development Manager ensures that account plans are in place, executes the growth strategy for his/ her accounts and executes the sales process to achieve growth targets and customer satisfaction objectives.
The territory consists of North America.
The home office for this role can be located anywhere suitable in California or Houston, TX.
Will consider other locations as appropriate.This role involves:1 Consultative, Relationship Management2 Solution Selling Business Development3 Market Strategy Development/Execution4 Closing multi-million dollar contractsDUTIES/RESULTS:* Develop new business in designated market, act as primary business development person in assigned territory; identify key customers; identify development/sales opportunities and engage prospecting and qualifying actions with customers; define the growth strategy for assigned accounts and drive implementation.* Build relationships with key customers in assigned territory.* Manage marketing qualified leads and opportunities that come from various marketing activities.* Develop a strategic plan in conjunction with company goals for the territory assigned and execute to achieve annual objectives.* Create and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers.
Meet frequently with key personnel to discuss Yokogawa solutions, opportunities, and strategies for success, ultimately growing the business.* Participate in internal strategy meetings when necessary.* Support the preparation of proposals so they adequately address customer needs.* Perform other related duties as assigned.Marketing activities:* Participate in local/regional/national industry association events as required.* Collaborate on development of targeted industry campaigns to increase awareness of Yokogawa solutions and vision* Execute local key Customer events and within assigned territoriesCollaboration:* Develop and support key partnerships that support our market strategy* Collaborate with existing partners to gain alignment with sales strategy and executionMain KPIs:* Sales Quota for assigned territory* Total Pipeline in assigned territory* Individual KPI’s as assigned by Sales Manager.Qualifications:Education and experience* Bachelor’s degree in a technical area* Minimum 5 years experience working as a renewable energy industry Sales Manager/ Business Development Manager averaging >$2M in annual revenue* Established contacts with decision makers from utility/renewable energy industry.* Candidate must have experience solution selling and be comfortable with C-Suite conversations/relationshipsProfessional competencies* General technical knowledge of Automation, control systems and analytical systems* Proven competencies in business development and account management* Successful in conceptual sales or solutions sales* Understanding of how renewable energy assets are developed and delivered (funding, contracting, PPAs, etc)* Understanding of Distributed Energy Resource Management (DERMs)* Understanding of Microgrids (behind/in-front of the meter)* Understanding of KPIs and business drivers for executives, operations, and technical roles within an organizationSoft skill competencies* Strong communication skills, both oral and written, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization* Strong communication and presentation skills; tailoring the approach according to customer needs/role.
