Kohler
The Business Development Manager is responsible for delivering Kallista sales plan within specified geographic territory across all business channels including showrooms, commercial projects and builders.
Collaborate with the Kallista Sales team, Kallista Marketing teams, KBNA Branch Managers and Sales Executives, Business Development Managers, National Accounts, Strategic Accounts and Specification team and Builder team.
Identify and own key decision makers and execute a joint strategy to grow in accordance to sales plan.
Responsible for overall execution and accountability for maximum market share penetration within the regional boundaries.
Specific Responsibilities
• Have complete understanding of market, not only Kallista accounts but competitors and other influences.
• Coordinate, develop, review and approve annual forecasts in addition to providing insights for Kallista monthly sales forecast meetings for orders and sales across channels within geography.
• Work with Kohler Sales Managers and Associates to develop and maintain a strong account base.
Assist in selecting and approving new accounts and ensuring proper development and achievement of three-year sales targets.
• Maintain direct personal contact with Kallista accounts while coordinating the activities necessary to grow sales and share with each account with the Kohler Sales team.
Activities included but not limited to trainings, events, new product introductions and showroom refreshes.
Individual showroom trainings should be administered by the local Kohler Sales Executives.
• Conduct large, regional trainings as required for showroom associates in addition to training Kohler Sales associates.
• Participate in and lead Kallista brand education seminars and CEU’s to influence residential designers and custom home builders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with top residential designers to drive non-quoted and grid pricing orders through Kallista showroom locations.Â
• Work with the Kohler Sales Projects team and select distributors to accurately forecast project order timing and secure delivery schedules.
Utilize Kallista Customer Experience team to manage ongoing project shipments, delays and challenges.
• Work with Kohler Sales Builder team within specific geography to develop and present builder relevant products and programs to establish Kallista as a primary luxury specification in addition to an upgrade option for Kohler Brand.
• Introduce new product collections into the displaying showrooms on a timely basis.
• Identify and communicate trends, opportunities and challenges within the geography for immediate sales success and long-term development.
• Travel within geographic market, to Kohler, WI and to industry trade shows as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
• Must have a minimum of 7 years sales experience, preferably within the plumbing industry.
• Prior experience managing sales results through third party representatives strongly preferred.
• This role requires travel, up to 50% of the time.
