Bridgestone Americas and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand products to address the needs of a broad range of customers and industries.JOB DESCRIPTIONEmployee Relations work is focused on promoting a positive workplace environment through employee communication and engagement including:Implementing measures to increase employee morale, motivation and satisfaction, while reducing turnover (e.G., employee engagement surveys, work lifestyle programs, on-boarding programs, diversity and inclusion programs and training, etc.)Coaching managers and employees through the performance management processConducting training sessions for managers to improve employee relations and people skillsManaging employee relations issues (e.G., investigating employee and/or supervisor complaints regarding conduct, performance, or attendance, mediation between employees, monitoring diversity/equal employment opportunity program compliance, etc.)HR-specific communications (e.G., employment terms and conditions, company codes of conduct, workforce reductions, etc.)RESPONSIBILITIESManages a department or function that includes multiple teams led by Managers/supervisors and/or manages a functional area or process that may or may not have direct reports Ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the department Responsible for ensuring department goals/objectives are met and align to Bridgestone’s overall strategy Oversees and supports development and execution of departmental strategy Requires ability to influence multiple, diverse stakeholders to accept policy, practices, and approaches Involves frequent communication with executive leadership on issues of significance Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility Influences, coaches, and develops direct reports Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelorĂ¢â‚¬â„¢s degree; 8+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years management or leadership experience Or MasterĂ¢â‚¬â„¢s degree; 6+ years of relevant experience including 4-5 years management or leadership experienceEMPLOYEE TYPERegular : Full time
