Bookkeeper/Office Manager

This is a Contract position in Lehigh Acres, FL posted February 16, 2022.

Bookkeeper

Well established, family owned and operated, respected Contractor requires a bookkeeper with professional accounting experience. You will be responsible for directing the processing of the full cycle of accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, general ledger, payroll, and other weekly reports. In addition, you will have the opportunity to provide administrative and procedural support to other functional areas of the organization.

If you have exceptional accounting/financial skills, a can-do attitude that enjoys a team environment that prides itself on excellent customer service and creative problem-solving skills, you may qualify for this position that reports directly to the CFO.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accurate processing of AR/AP, invoicing, and payroll activities
  • Maintenance of the General Ledger
  • Responsible for maintaining cash management system
  • Preparation of other financial reports as indicated by management
  • Ability to assist in the human resources function as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced and often time constrained environment
  • Other functions as directed by ownership

Experience Desired:

  • Five (5) plus years of extensive accounting experience in a $2 mil or larger organization
  • Must be experienced with QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Highly skilled with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Microsoft

Office Products (Excel and Word)

  • Generalist administrative and human resources experience with and knowledge of the construction industry is highly desired
  • Customer Service Excellence
  • Ability to systemize self and others
  • An Associate degree in business with an emphasis in accounting is desired, however, solid experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,200.00 – $42,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekend availability

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Bookkeeping: 3 years (Required)
  • Leadership: 3 years (Required)
