This position is with Eurofins Diatherix Clinical Diagnostics which is located in the Hudson Alpha Institute, Huntsville, Alabama.
Eurofins Diatherix Clinical Diagnostics is a highly specialized laboratory providing cutting-edge molecular diagnostic testing services to hospitals and physicians using proprietary TEM-PCR (Target Enriched Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction) technology for precise detection of infectious diseases at high levels of sensitivity and specificity, and at very short turnaround times Job Description Position Summary: The Billing Department Manager is responsible for the day to day quality metrics of the Billing Department to meet department and company financial goals.
Responsible for staff productivity and development.
Must have superior analytical and problem solving skills and knowledge and experience with complex medical billing concepts a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the departments overall needs and communicate them with the Billing Director.
Hire, train, schedule and delegate responsibilities tobilling staff Deliver daily review of performance reporting and identification of performance trends to Billing Director.
Oversee implementation of action plans to drive improved performance.
Identify training gaps amongst support staff and coordinate support staff development.
Provide recommendations on employee and department training needs.
Request adjustments and enhancements to performance reporting.
Oversee the correct roll-out and deployment of new policies, processes, and internal programs.
Produce and review reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and as needed basis and deliver to Billing Director.
Assist in making hiring decisions, including interviewing.
Oversee shift change notifications and assignments.
Complete and deliver performance reviews in a timely manner.
Facilitate regular team meetings with leadership and support staff.
Maintain overall responsibility for team employee morale.
Set the example relating to professionalism, attendance, attitude, Diatherix and attire.
Network with all supporting departments, provide consistent communication and feedback.
Create and foster a team environment with all of the billing team and leadership team.
Must be able to work standard operating hours 7-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends as required.

Qualifications Education/Experience: Associates degree required 5 years of experience managing a team of 30 employees.
