BESTAR LLC: Sales Manager – Specialty Steel

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Primary account representative for customers in the South and Midwest reporting to the Director of Sales Prepare sales quotations together with operations and present to customer Up to 30-40% travel required Penetrating accounts beyond the buyer and into the engineering and management levels New business development taking over an existing pipeline of present customers and potential opportunities, but also targeting untapped potential accounts and development of a new sales pipeline in the following areas: Secondary Woodworking markets (knives and saws) Tool Steels (sheets/discs/flat bars/round bars ?

cutting tools) Food Products (high-carbon and stainless steel band saws & knives) Coordination with Operations and Sales to determine market trends, potential, and strategies to achieve sales goals Submission of call reports to management on a timely basisQualifications: 4-year college degree Outside sales experience relative to the sale of high carbon steel, tool steel or high speed steel or a solid background in engineering or manufacturing In-depth understanding and proven track record of relationship selling with excellent references Experience at mill and/or distributor level (preferably from a small-medium sized service center).

Strong understanding of the tool steel/HSS manufacturing process and at least some experience at handling technical/metallurgical issues or problems Must be a self-driven/results oriented individual with the knowledge and skill to determine the best course of action for each individual opportunity Experience working remotely and unsupervised from a home office isrequired if located outside the Atlanta, GA area Great analytical skills International mindset Driver?s license and good driving record are required for this positionBenefits: health insurance vision dental LTD 401k life insurance flexible spending account (FSA)Experience:* Outside Sales: 3 years (Required)
