Audience Development Manager

This is a Full-time position in Los Angeles, CA posted May 3, 2021.

POPSUGAR is looking for an experienced Audience Development Manager to guide the growth of our social video content across platforms.

The person will use data to inform creative decisions and broaden our audience reach, engagement, and growth.

This role will be responsible for crafting thoughtful metrics reports and competitive studies to help guide teams on what kind of content to create, and how to package and market it successfully.

Our ideal candidate will use both sides of the brain equally and understand that great social content requires both art and science.

This is a full-time position based in Los Angeles.

A TYPICAL WEEK LOOKS LIKE:
Provide regular metrics, competitive analysis and deep dive reports to develop audience growth strategy for POPSUGARs priority platforms and formats, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and emerging platforms Help guide content team with the best strategies for creating content audiences are responding to based on deep audience insights and platform research; help brainstorm topics and tentpoles and pitch clever stories to producers Own and evolve metrics reporting process and templates, including KPI tracking, creative analysis, trend research, and competitive analysis Craft custom insights for our Sales team and our internal creative agency to pitch POPSUGAR to brand partners Assist influencer research and outreach process to ideate and manage meaningful partnerships that will boost views and engagement Create content alongside producers that plays forward our best practices
THE NEXT GREAT AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER WILL HAVE:
3-5 years of hands-on, relevant experience in social content, ideally with a focus on social video and Stories products Sophisticated understanding of all online social video platforms and the formats that work on each.

Strong analytical skills and an enthusiasm for experimenting with content and strategy to optimize for key metrics Strong editorial judgment and a passion for mining pop culture, lifestyle, and internet trends, especially as they relate to millennials and Gen Z female audiences Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills
