About Foghorn Foghorn Therapeutics is pioneering the discovery and development of a new class of medicines targeting genetically determined dependencies within the chromatin regulatory system, an untapped opportunity for therapeutic intervention.

Our proprietary Gene Traffic Control platform gives us an integrated, mechanistic understanding of how the various components of the chromatin regulatory system interact, allowing us to identify, validate and potentially drug targets within the system.The Company, currently in the clinical stage, is advancing over 10 small molecule and protein degrader programs across a wide range of cancers.

About the Chromatin Regulatory System The chromatin regulatory system regulates gene expression by directing the movement of molecules that turn genes on and off.

Disease dependencies associated with the chromatin regulatory system are estimated to impact over 2.5 million cancer patients across the United States, Europe and Japan.

This system is further implicated in neurological, autoimmune, and other serious diseases.

Job Summary Based in Cambridge, MA and reporting to the SVP, Business & Operations, the successful candidate will be an experienced leader who will define and drive our operations strategy and manage service operations.

This individual will be responsible for shaping and managing our Cambridge office/lab space, developing and implementing business continuity strategies, evolving lab/office/facilities support services, and optimizing efficiencies for day-to-day Foghorn operations.

The individual will lead the lab and office operations team and shall collaborate effectively with stakeholders, such as Finance, IT, HR, Research and Clinical groups.

This will be a hands-on position in Cambridge, with direct reports.

Key Responsibilities Team Manage and develop a high-functioning office and lab operations team Office Support Office Manager in evolving office management strategies, including wastes and cleaning, commuting programs and parking, food, drink and offices supply, desk management Set up and manage receptionist services model & technology Lab Supports Lab Operations Coordinator in evolving lab support services strategies to ensure high quality and reliable support for research environments, including lab equipment procurement and maintenance, as well as shipping and receiving support Maintain a strong relationship with the laboratory members to support changing needs Facilities Work with landlord for effective and efficient utilization of utilities and building systems Space Management and Real Estate Identify new opportunities for optimizing office/lab processes and space and leverage technologies to support the budget and scale services Proactively forecast and design/evolve facilities to meet staff lab and business needs Manage sub-tenant Drive renovation projects and office/lab moves Business Continuity Participate in company risk prioritization and management processes Develop and implement business continuity planning for lab and office (including any evolution of COVID19 plans in collaboration with CMO, Legal and HR) Safety, Compliance and Security Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all employees Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations in partnership with our Safety coordinator Planning and Budget Participate in scenario planning processes and anticipate implications on operational support team Drive operations budgeting and resource prioritization processes Collaborate with R&D functions in planning and executing capital and expense investments in laboratory infrastructure and services Vendors Develop and maintain high-level relationships with various vendors and other support service functions within the company Manage external services contract staff effectively in terms of cost and service levels Procedures Coordinate the development, implementation, and upkeep of standard operating procedures and policies appropriate for operations being performed across functions Qualifications 10 years of experience in operations and / or laboratory / facilities management within the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industry Strong communication skills Strong customer service focus with the ability to work with others in a high-performing environment Ability to influence others through cultural change and gain support for new initiatives Experience managing external vendors and service providers for project and ongoing operations work Ability to navigate changing environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Bachelor’s Degree a plus Powered by JazzHR
