Purpose & Scope:
The Business Data Lead OTC (GLOBAL) will navigate data structures across multiple systems and applications, keep current with process and technology trends, will set up data governance teams, drive data quality, lead harmonization efforts and establish policies and procedures for OTC data.
This role will provide direction with regards to the effective use of data and technology within the order-to-cash area and will be the go-to person for all global issues/direction related to customer master data and other OTC data, such as sales orders, credit management, listings, exclusions, pricing and inter-company entities.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Data governance
- Establish and develop the Order-to-cash data governance team comprising cross functional business and IT experts.
- Drive creation and upkeep of data standards, policies and procedures in the area of order-to-cash.
- Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the companys principal information assets in the area of order to cash –
– Customers.
- Periodically report to governance councils on state of order-to-cash master data quality and governance.
- Support Ethics and Compliance efforts to ensure customer data is aligned with transparency reporting requirements.
Operations
- Provides expertise in Customer Master, Business Partner, Sales Orders, Receivables process, pricing and DOA to ensure appropriate change management and issue resolution of the data assets.
- Drive efforts to streamline data processes and workflows to increase efficiency.
- Develops and maintains an onboarding process for newly enrolled data analysts and processors.
Technical
- Brings expertise in SAP MDG, SAP SD and related SAP order-to-cash functionality to support IT projects by assisting with requirements identification, testing, system functionality approval and training materials.
- Develop & maintain inventory of the global enterprise information maps, including systems of record, system owners, data owners and business functions such as R&D, Commercial, Treasury, Supply Chain and HR.
Organizational Context:
- The position reports directly to the Senior Director, EDM, GBS.
- Pursue self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information and knowledge with co-workers and various business functions.
Qualifications: Required
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or other Technology field.
- 7-10 years of SAP SD and/or order-to-cash, SAP MDG or SAP Finance.
- 7-10 years of consulting experience implementing technology projects or leading order-to-cash data migration in SAP.
- End-to-end knowledge of OTC process (customer data management, sales, pricing, credit management, listings, exclusions and receivables).
- Demonstrated strength in project management
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience interacting with executive leadership.
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong presentation, spreadsheet and word processing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced program environment.
- Ability to balance work with multiple cultures and multiple time zones.
Qualifications: Preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management or Data Analysis
- 1-3 years experience in pharmaceutical industry.
