Assistant Warehouse Supervisor

National manufacturing and distribution company seeking a highly motivated, honest/trustworthy and organized distribution Assistant Supervisor to lead and oversee warehouse operations at our Cerritos, CA facility. The ideal candidate will assist with leadership over receiving, warehousing, distribution, and inventory control objectives. This position requires a multi-tasking individual with effective communication skills, dependable time-management, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the implementation, execution, and compliance monitoring of all warehousing operations including receiving & inventory control.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting regular physical counts and collaborating with inventory control teams to reconcile inventory counts in warehouse ERP system.
• Responsible with the assistance of supervision of warehouse staff, including orientation and training of new employees, scheduling and attendance, coaching and counseling when necessary.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols that comply with federal, state, and local warehousing and shipping requirements
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair; requisitions for replacement; opening or locking of the facility.

Successful candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field of study, or 5+ years of combined leadership experience in an overall Warehousing operation or an Operations related position. Experience managing people and processes within warehousing and inventory control functions.
• Must be proficient in all MS Office programs (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) ERP system is preferred
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.

Schedule available:

• 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM Shift
• 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM Shift
