Overview VTG Defense s a leading technology integrator with close to 50 years’ experience delivering technology and C5ISR solutions to solve the complex challenges faced by our government and commercial customers in the Defense and National Security markets. VTG is seeking an Assistant Security Manager located in Pearl Harbor, HI. Responsibilities Assist in managing the VTG’s security program which includes processing security clearances, visit authorization requests, management of facilities, personnel and ensures the Company’s Security Program is compliant with all government regulations and requirements under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Follow security procedures to ensure that only authorized personnel receive visit letters, passes, and badges to enter these facilities. Provide support on special projects concerning all aspects of the company’s security policies, procedures and practices. This position requires independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis and resolution of security-related matters. Must be a dependable professional, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and diverse work environment. Specific duties include: * Follows operational procedures for orienting and monitoring personnel involved with classified information. * Reviews all security paperwork for accuracy, completion and submission via the e-Quip system. * Confers with representatives of local, state and federal government to ensure cooperation and coordination of company activities with security clearances and special base access. * Supports all security operations and functions in accordance with the DCID’s and NISPOM to include managing approximately 400PLCs associated with collateral, SCI and COMSEC programs. * Performs contractual OCONUS travel preparation, incident reports and periodic investigations. * Maintains computer database, oversees administrative support to include updating clearances. * Maintains a working relationship with each contract’s security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances, briefings and de-briefing, reporting security violations. * Establishes and maintains personnel security filing system for tracking employee briefings, adverse information reports, etc. * Facilitates procedures for and administering annual refresher briefings and visit authorization letters, as needed on a daily basis. * Assists FSO in policy development, Security Education and Dissemination to workforce. * Assists FSO with the preparation of Defense Security Service (DSS) inspections and audit. * Prepares necessary paperwork in support of a company Security Investigation for Loss, Compromise or Suspected Compromise of classified information. * Maintains all security documentation and files in accordance with DSS requirements. * Process incoming and outgoing Visit Requests for cleared employees * Update and maintain employee clearances in the JPAS system * Periodically perform standby duties, respond to system alarms and notify the appropriate response resources as directed by established procedures Qualifications Qualifications * Must possess a current Final Secret clearance with the following desired qualification: * At least twelve (12) months of experience using and inputting into the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) * At least twelve (12) months of experience issuing badges and processing of incoming visit requests * At least twelve (12) months of experience processing incoming official mail and performance as a Mail Orderly. * At least twelve (12) months of experience processing and preparing incoming and outgoing classified materials, in accordance with DODI 5200.01 V1 – V4, processing of courier card requests and issuance of courier cards. * At least twelve (12) months of experience or more utilizing Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Adobe Acrobat. Language Skills: * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Computer Skills: * To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Proficiency is required in MS Excel. JPAS knowledge required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: * Valid driver’s license. * JPAS certificate. Other: * Position requires occasional travel.
