Position Summary
Assists in the coordination of all phases of a project.
Coordinates project plans.
Supports the communication with contractors/designers concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling.
Assists in preparing project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.
Basic knowledge of the function and department processes.
Anticipated career path will start with the first 2 years in purchasing department, 1 year in the engineering department, 1 year in estimating with final engagement in operations as Assistant Project Management.
Key Responsibilities
Assists in the coordination and planning of all projects.
Assists in the management of project productivity, costs, quality and safety consistent with company policies and practices.
Works with local team to develop processes for delivering total electrical solutions.
Cooperates with other office personnel to negotiate and execute sales contracts consistent with policies.
Assists with the development and coordination of material and equipment schedules and promotes their efficient use.
Coordinates all subcontractor and vendor contracts and associated processes and procedures.
Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Construction Management, related field, plus six months of work experience, IEC graduate with 4 years of work experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations, preferred.
