Your RoleThe Assistant Operations Manager will support Operations Managers and the Director of Operations with the day to day operations for the Top of the Rock Observation Deck located in 30 Rockefeller Plaza.Assure a safe, clean, pleasant, professional and efficient experience for all guests at the attraction.Perform walk through of the entire attraction many times per day to ensure that all standards are being met.Ensure that guests have a memorable experience by encouraging customer service engagement of hourly employees.Coordinate with appropriate building personnel to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the attraction.Assists Management in supervising hourly staff.
Assists with supervision of staff through education, employee motivation and consults with Human Resources on disciplinary action.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.2 years of previous supervisory experience at a similar attraction based operation.Must be fluent in English, multilingual preferred.Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, task lists and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, team members and guests.Ability to remain flexible in determining a variety of problem solving approaches.
The employee must have the ability to maintain emotionally healthy composure and professionalism in stressful situations.Must have open availability including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays.Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Experience in a fast paced environment and ability to multi-task and work under pressure while still being detail oriented and personable.Work tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors.
Temperature will vary with changing weather conditions.Walking and standing are required for the majority of the work day.
This includes traveling to and from meetings as well as walking the entire attraction several times per day.
Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
