Assistant Director, Transportation

Arms Acres in Carmel, NY is seeking an Assistant Director for Transportation to join our team. The Assistant Director will support the supervision and coordination of transportation services, including transportation for admission to treatment, interviews, doctors appointments and other appropriate transportation services, as well as serve as back-up for the Transportation Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in the supervision of the Transportation Department. Works with Liberty Behavioral Management Corporate and other Liberty facility directors to ensure safe, prompt and efficient transport of patients. Directly supervises Arms Acres transportation staff. Communicates with internal/external staff and/or agencies for the transportation needs of the facility in an efficient manner.
• Oversees the maintenance of the transportation fleet; ensuring vehicles are maintained in a safe and clean manner.
• Fills in as driver when needed.
• Produces monthly report based on data base input of transportation runs and patient flight information.
• Drives new patient vehicles to the rear parking lot and secures vehicle.
• Participates in Performance Improvement Initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with one to three months’ related experience and/or training. Experience in managing and/or supervising a team of employees required.
