This position based in Storm Lake will support the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Buena Vista University in areas of cultivating partnerships with leaders in industry, business, the government sector, and non-profits.
Core activities of this position include relationship building, partnership development and maintenance, business outreach, and community relations.
Responsibilities
· Conduct outreach to develop new partnerships with business, industry, the military, and non-profits and grow existing relationships
· Collaborate within the Strategic Partnerships Division to identify and develop innovative ways in assisting current and future partnerships with professional needs
· Work collaboratively with BVU admissions team and online, site, and graduate staff in planning and implementing business/community engagement activities to effectively represent and promote the institution and help increase student enrollment, professional development, and strategic partnership opportunities
· Coordinate, attend, and support community engagement activities in identified key areas of influence
· Attend/participate in identified, key community activities and professional conferences/meetings concerned with the development and implementation of programs
· Effectively utilize standard office software applications to prepare correspondence, presentations, statements of work, and other detailed comprehensive reports as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ø Individual must o be dynamic and have prior sales experience with a focus in growth o be outgoing and able to conduct cold calls when necessary o be a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills o be able to work collaboratively with others o be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset o be able to work in a fast-paced and highly competitive market Ø Ability to travel within the state is required Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
· 3-5 years of experience in higher education and/or managerial position in sales, business, or related field preferred
