Software AG is seeking a qualified candidate for our American Professional Services Alfabet practice.
The position necessitates interacting with all levels of the customer organization including executive stakeholders (C-level), domain stakeholders (business/system analysts) and technical personnel.
A successful candidate will be able to present potential Professional Services customers with a vision (roadmap) for transitioning from current ‘as-is’ to future state.
The next step in the customer journey includes implementing that roadmap for the Alfabet solution, coaching customers on industry and solution best practices, and driving long-term adoption and customer redeemability in the market through quality delivery of Alfabet solution outcomes.
Working under the supervision of a Professional Services Project Manager, the Senior Alfabet Consultant will:
* Support Alfabet Principal Consultants in scoping and delivering large projects.
* Lead small projects, assuming responsibility for all typical consulting and project management tasks.
* Evaluate customers’ processes and develop methodologies.
* Design and architect / configure solutions that satisfy customer-specific requirements.
* Support customers in the organizational and process-related implementation of the Alfabet solution.
* Gather technical requirements and coordinate requirements’ implementation.
* Design and specify interfaces to external systems.
The Alfabet Consultant may work remotely and/or onsite at the customer location, depending upon specific customer, customer project and project phase.
S/he may be required to travel up to 75% of the time.
Fluency in English is a requirement.

Skills (Technical)
* Proficiency in SQL language and database management
* Proficiency in XML and HTML language and structure
* Experience using Business Intelligence or related software
* Knowledge of .NET Applications, RESTful WebServices, Data Integration Capabilities
* Experience identifying, documenting and verifying both technical and non-technical requirements for EA and/or IT Planning initiatives with excellent problem solving skills.
* Proven track record managing implementation of enterprise software.
This includes managing customer expectations and delivering to a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Knowledge of TOGAF and ITIL.
* Knowledge of general system analysis and design processes
* Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies and practices.
* Proficiency with schemas / meta-models and relational database databases (Oracle or MSSQL-Server preferred)
* Experience developing governance models
* Ability to develop reports and configuration tasks using SQL/Oracle

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to effectively convey concepts and solution-features-benefits of the proposed Alfabet solution to C-Level client executives and stakeholders as well as deep-dive into technical/architecture aspects with client IT members.
* Presentation, organizational and planning skills.
Ability to deliver a presentation targeted to client’s specific pain points.
* Experienced working simultaneously with a variety of stakeholders (internal and external) as well as third-party client subcontractors, as appropriate.
* Excellent analytical skills and ability to formulate abstract solutions in a constructive manner.
* Proactive work ethic and self-motivation.
Self-supportive and capable of target-oriented and structured work outputs.
* Excellent time and project management skills.
* Team-oriented approach to project work and problem solving – willingness to work closely with others and to mentor junior colleagues.

Education and Experience
* BA/BS in Managing Information Systems Computer Science, Engineering; Masters or PhD and/or alternative business focus (ie.
Finance) a plus.
* Five-to-ten years work experience with Enterprise Architecture, IT Planning, Business Transformation.
* Experience working with customers in banking and securities, energy, insurance, manufacturing, transportation, retail, utilities, or other vertical markets.
