Overview:Reports to: VP, SC CollectionsFunctions Supervised: This is a Supervisory PositionPrimary Functions: Controlling adverse actions associated with credit union collateral.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform all duties of a Senior Special Credits Collateral Control Officer and Senior Special Credits Insurance Control Officer, as necessary.Responsible for daily management to ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities to maximize productivity and quality of work performed.Responsible for regular reviews of associated work and for making recommendations regarding adjustments in work routines.Responsible for development of staff to ensure all Collateral Control and Insurance Control personnel follow all appropriate federal laws, regulations, and credit union policies/procedure/practices.Responsible for administration of the credit union’s Collateral Protection Insurance program, including timely processing of damage and repossession reimbursement claims for repossessed collateral, proof of insurance or insurance cancellation letters received by member(s) and applicable refund amounts within Special Credits.Responsible for administration of timely repossession and liquidation of collateral.Responsible for administration/oversight of delinquent real estate loan file review, notice of default from lienholders/taxing authorities with superior interest and recommendation of adverse actions involving real property collateral.Responsible for ensuring timely completion of assigned reports associated with Collateral Control, Collateral, Collateral Protection Insurance, and Real Property.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Four years experience with financial institution experience in areas of duties and responsibilities.Experience/Skills: Must have at least four years experience with financial institution experience in areas of duties and responsibilities. Must have proven management ability to hire and develop staff proficiently and efficiently. Must have advance knowledge of all office equipment and systems used for collections, repossession/liquidation, collateral insurance filings, to include software products for daily, weekly, and monthly operations. Must have a proven ability to evaluate difficult situations and exercise good judgement. Requires proven writing abilities as well as good verbal communications skills. Must have good human relations skills and a strong personality to effectively handle adverse situations routinely with the ability to resolve conflict and promote cooperation and positive moral.Tenure: Not applicable.Equal Opportunity Employer
