Account Manager (Central and Eastern Wisconsin)

This is a Contract position in Milwaukee, WI posted November 27, 2021.

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to be the frontline salesperson who is responsible for the execution of agreed sales and profitability targets established by the business within the assigned sales area by developing new business and expanding the business with existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customers, in a designated area, to execute sales plan
  • Independently prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals to ensure successful outcome of transactions
  • Screen customer base for new opportunities. Will generate leads and maintain pipeline
  • Provide appropriate and agreed levels of contact, service and support to ensure sales targets are met
  • Monitor sales against agreed targets on a regular basis to ensure they are met and where necessary the need for remedial actions are identified, reported and implemented
  • Collect, report and analyze customer feedback information on present as well as future market trends in the context of possible further market penetration
  • Promote the positive company image and develops long-term relations with the customers

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial roles, sales and key account management in paints and powder coatings, business-to-business industry, or related field. Must possess understanding of cross functional processes and financial concepts related to sales and cost to serve
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage projects, create value propositions, and drive results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 25%. Some overnight travel may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Job Duties:

  • Manage multiple accounts, ensuring that a high level of customer retention and satisfaction is maintained
  • Meet monthly quotas
  • Engage with multiple customers on a daily basis by reaching out to new clients, and by developing campaigns for maintaining customer loyalty
  • Implement strategies for retaining customers requesting to terminate or downgrade their account
  • Record changes to customer accounts, updating service packages, adding accounts, and removing accounts as needed
  • Other duties as requested
