Job Details What you’ll be doing… The Academic Programs Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and building strategic partnerships with Colleges/Universities, Learning Organizations, and Professional Associations to help drive acceleration of Tableau Adoption for students and instructors in Higher Education.
This role will work with higher education sales and marketing leaders to leverage existing relationships, while creating new connections and developing relationships that expand use of Tableau in classrooms.
The Business Development Manager will report to the Sr.
Manager of Academic Programs, driving global strategy for new business while nurturing and maintaining existing relationships.
Some of the things you’ll be doing include … Maintaining current strategic relationships and identifying new opportunities/partnerships Develop strategy for targeting institutions with successful analytics programs Work with University leaders to develop strategy around program integration Identify and nurture champions at Universities to scale adoption Researching education trends and creating new opportunities to increase the use of Tableau Collaborate with sales and public sector to identify existing relationships and make connections Develop university integration model and highlight deployment successes with key Universities Maintain strong understanding of Academic offerings and product knowledge to inform strategic discussions Work with Academic team to identify new markets and expansion opportunities Communicate insights to inform regional market leads and global strategy Develop and deliver comprehensive reporting against goals Ability to travel an estimated 25%
– 30% Who you are… Experienced.
5-7 years’ experience in Business Development in tech and/or education.
Educated.
BA/BS Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field Domain.
Proven Business Development / Relationship Management experience.
Experience working in or with Academia and understanding of infrastructure, organization, and influence.
Experience with Tableau or proven knowledge of analytics platform.
Go-Getter.
Strategic thinker with proven experience developing high level relationships and programs.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage expectations and customer demands.
