ABB OPTICAL Group: Bilingual Distribution Supervisor (1pm-10pm)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe Supervisor oversees and delegates warehouse activities to meet established operational standards, while promoting and evaluating the development of department employees.Essential Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties and special projects may be assigned.Supervise all operations for a given work shift, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with standard operating proceduresOversee the daily performance of approximately 20-25 hourly associates, ensuring that established goals are met for production, accuracy and service levelsProvide training, coaching and development and written performance feedbackLeverage systems, available data and reporting and visual inspection to monitor available workload throughout the dayEnsure a cross-trained workforce is available for redeployment to alternate areas, as required, based on fluctuating business demandsCoordinate and prioritize special requests, ensuring that customer needs are met dailyInteract with peers, management and internal and external business partners, resolving issues and optimizing flow within the distribution pipeline from vendor to customerParticipate in the interview and selection of new hires in accordance the selection standards set by managementPartner with management in resolving issues and reducing errors, following a quality cycle approachSchedule and lead regular meetings such as the daily team huddles and meetings with direct reportsReview and analyze both individual and area performance data and production reportingProvide both positive and negative performance feedback in a timely manner, in accordance with department processFollow and uphold all OSHA guidelines, policies and safety regulations, inspecting the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment and reporting/documenting all incidents to managementLeverage knowledge of systems and procedures and drive process improvement across all warehouse functions and activitiesSupervisory Responsibilities: Fulfillment Specialists, Senior Fulfillment SpecialistsQUALIFICATIONSRequired Qualifications4-5 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution center environmentNilingual (English / Spanish)At least 2 of those years in supervisory capacityGeneral PC ApplicationsMS Office ApplicationsShift: 1pm-10pmDesired QualificationsBachelors Degree in a related areaWarehouse Management System softwareContinuous Improvement background (Lean/Kaizen)ABB031
