Reporting to the Regional Sales Engineer Detroit (East), you will manage customer relationships and driving sales growth within the food and beverage market segment in the assigned geography.
The position also serves as a business consultant to senior managers, project participants, and customers while working with a variety of complex multi-level interactions.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record of identifying new business and converting market share through complex customer organizations in the market segment.
The candidate has collaborative experience working with cross functional teams, with an ability to drive strategic goals with the Regional Sales Engineer (RSE), the Regional Application Engineer (RAE), and Key Account Management Teams (KAM) to secure sales in the assigned geography.
Tactical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying new customer targets, developing sales strategies and partnership proposals, driving product specification and basis of design, coordinating commercial agreements and risk assessment of identified opportunities.Your responsibilities Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions.Defining sales targets for the account, and ensuring they are achieved with a structured follow-up process across Motion Drive Products.Providing solutions for their businesses that are in line with volume, mix and profitability targets.Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is taken.Coordinate the implementation of Corporate Agreements with target OEMs, this includes commercial terms, pricing, product configurations and risk assessment, negotiating and submitting proposals in accordance with company procedures.Driving the application of standardized marketing and sales processes and tools.Increase revenue for the company by researching, identifying and developing new accounts, working to coordinate local support for local management, after account development.Providing regular account summary reports to sales manager, KAMs, Global account manager and the National OEM BDM.
Your background Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8 years of experience working in related industry.
Proven track record with exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.Up to 60% travel required.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.Extensive sales background in food and beverage automation market, working with OEM and End Users preferred.Product and market knowledge in Drives and related systems preferred.Understanding of customer needs, experience in customer interface and experience in customer development preferred.
